Before you install: wall requirements Wall type: A load-bearing wall or solid brick wall is recommended. Concrete walls allow direct mounting of the unit with suitable wall fixings.Hollow brick walls: Install a reinforcing backing plate before mounting. Do not mount directly to hollow brick.Recommended support capacity: At least 40 kg (88 lb) at the mounting location.Minimum wall thickness: 12 cm (120 mm) .Hidden pipes and wiring: The installation area must be free of concealed water pipes and electrical wiring. Check before drilling.Have a qualified installer confirm that the wall, backing plate (if needed), and fixings are suitable before installation.
K4 mounting and service access
Structural support: Have a qualified installer verify that the wall and fixings can safely support the complete K4, wall bracket and attached accessories. Reinforce the wall where required.
Wall material: Do not attach the bracket to plasterboard/drywall alone. Framed or hollow walls need suitable structural fixing points or designed backing. Concrete or masonry must be sound, with anchors selected for that specific substrate.
Before drilling: Check for concealed electrical cables, pipes and other services. Use the actual bracket as the fixing template and keep it level.
Access and clearance: Allow room to hang the unit, operate both key locks, route cables without pinching them and access the unit for service.
Wall-anchor type, drilling depth, tightening torque and required load capacity must be confirmed for the actual wall by the installer. Device-assembly screws shown in the video are not a universal wall-anchor specification.
